Ine Chō Sushi & Seafood

Ine Chō is a conceptual branding project for a Japanese restaurant based in Vancouver. The restaurant offers a high-end dining experience, catering to affluent professionals and food enthusiasts.

With a multitude of Japanese restaurants already established in the Vancouver area, and a widespread familiarity with Japanese culture and cuisine. Ine Chō aims to stand out through its unique identity, elevated ingredients, and innovative dishes, offering the city a fresh and refined take on Japanese dining

Ine Chō is a centuries-old fishing village nestled along the Sea of Japan in Kyoto Prefecture. Ine is famous for its unique funaya, which translates to boat houses. These wooden buildings sit right on the water and serve as both docks and homes.

With the funaya being such a prominent and important part of the town it only felt right to have the boat house and sea represented in the logomark.
